Hello World, hope you are all doing well and not believing the hype...
In keeping with yesterday's BLOG today ya'll get to meet another One Love Theater all-star, Ulbe. Ulbe has been performing for over 6 years and is the OLT trainer. Ulbe is responsibe for facilitating "B" group trainings as well as the physical conditioning for the main OLT group. Today, Ulbe spent the afternoon coaching aspiring One-Lovers...

... and this is a shot of Ulbe (in character) used for the "Our World" performance held back in February, he's not really this serious all the time...

Now that you all have been acquainted with the OLT team, we will conclude today's BLOG with a short introduction to one of AYC's many "we would really like to this" projects, note they are not called "dream" projects because we will definitely accomplish them, it is just a question of when. This one in particular is called HOPE Park and Amphitheater.
In short, Hope Park aims to transform the existing open space in front of AYC, located in the heart of Awassa, into a public park that serves as a reminder for youth, and the greater community, to remain hopeful in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Ideally, HOPE Park will include an amphitheater, public art, a hard-top basketball court, football (soccer) pitch and volleyball net as well as gardens and benches. When we say "in the heart of Awassa" we mean it, take a look...
and here it is up close...

One final note, the local Awassa Government has given their full support for the Hope Park project! If you are interested in supporting and/or learning more about Hope Park or additional AYC "we would really like to do this" projects please contact us. 'Til next time, stay well.
One Love, One Fight.
