gOoD pEoPlE...
First, we here at AYC would like to wish every one a happy, safe and peaceful Ethio-Millenium. Yesterday marked the first day of year 2000 according to the Ethiopian calendar! Celebrations in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, brought in the likes of international artists like the Black-Eyed Peas as well as hundreds of Ethiopian artists, for the extreme minority of folks who were able to attend the shows they must have been fun. As for Awassa, on Tuesday afternoon (this was the only time slot OLT was permitted, there were celebrations in the evening though the OLT show was labled to "modern" for these) under a blistering sun a 1,500+ crowd on the streets watched OLT perform one of their finest shows yet, it simply all came together. For this reason, in addition to the opressive heat, this show will be known in the OLT archives as the "Sunshine Show". If the show was any indication of what is too come in this new era, look out Ethiopia, look out World cuz here comes OLT! Enjoy the pics...
