We hope this finds you well.  Things are going fine here as we are preparing for several upcoming One Love Theater shows in addition to the end of the academic year (many more kids visiting AYC when school gets out).  More importanly we at AYC would like to say a big congratulations to Mr. Obama on his truly amazing journey, may he embody the hope and change that this World so desperately needs.  Be well.

One Love, One Fight.

We are living in a democratic country, right? But the government has too much control over our lives. An example of this is State Legislatures banning payday loans. They don’t control how much money I make or how much my rent, mortgage or car payment is. Why should they be able to control whether or not I am able to take out a payday loan? If I decide to take out a payday loan, there should only be two parties involved in that, the loan company and myself. If the company decides that they want to loan me money, it shouldn’t be any of the State legislatures business. Personal loans can be very important and the State Legislatures have the anti-payday loan attitude because they do not understand this importance. As an adult I already know how to spend my money. If I want to use my money on smoking or drinking the government has no right to prohibit me in doing so. Let the people decide for them selves so that if they commit mistakes they will blame no one but their self.

Being misinformed before you make a decision on anything, no matter how small, can bring major consequences if you act on faulty information or assumptions. If you’re in a cash crunch, and are considering a payday">http://personalmoneystore.com">payday loans, this certainly is no exception. Many people fall victim to misunderstanding just what they are getting themselves into. Currently, some politicians are trying to pass legislation to restrict or outlaw these financial services. Some have even succeeded. Their assumption is that payday loan lenders are in the same category in their ethics and practices as mafia loan sharks. They couldn’t be more wrong. Do not be misled, and educate yourself, and your family and friends on your options in financially tough times.

Some politicians, such as Barack Obama, are looking to outlaw the payday loan industry. A large part of this intention was stirred by the flawed idea that payday lenders fall under the same moral values as illegal loan sharks. Being misinformed can accumulate some severe consequences. Although this statement is true, they take no notice of the genuine fact that the main source of these consequences is based on a course of action on inaccurate information. Sadly, a number of politicians have successfully passed legislation in their states, city and towns which controls, or even takes away your ability to get a payday loan. Now is the time to take action and educate your friend and family to protect your rights to financial independence.

The novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley was published as a warning. It tells the tale of London in the year 2540, in a dystopian future in which the government controlled every aspect of the citizens’ lives, down to not allowing any dissenting, or in other words free, thought. This was Huxley’s vision of what will happen to societies if the government was allowed enough leeway to impose their iron fist into the everyday lives down to thoughts, words, and free choice of the citizens. This novel was controversial, and still is, but what is worse still is that his and also George Orwell’s cautionary tales of restriction of governmental regulation are beginning to come true, even here in the land of the free, the USA. For instance, the California government has allowed zoning of Los Angeles to include where fast food restaurants cannot have a store open. Burger joints are becoming outlawed, and one of the next targets is the payday loan industry, which has already come under fire. Many politicians and candidates are pledging to rid their respective states, municipalities, and also the entire United States of this legitimate and valuable service industry. Many of these politicians are hoping to get elected so that they can serve their own self interest or the banking lobby’s interests. How far should they be allowed to go before we, the American people, say enough? Philadelphia Phillies have won their first World Series in 28 years. The last time they climbed to the top of the mountain (1980), Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose and Steve Carlton showed the American League the meaning of spirited, winning baseball. Today, as emotions run high and the city of Philadelphia gears up for celebration of their boys bringing home the Commissioner’s Trophy, pillars of the community like Temple University are preparing for mass rioting. According to Dean of Students Ainsley Carry, “Students involved in vandalism, refusal to disperse, destruction of property, etc. will face both criminal and University disciplinary action. Sanctions may range from fines up to and including immediate suspension. Surveillance – including videotaping – is heightened during the Series on campus and throughout the city.”
I’m all for personal responsibility, which includes showing respect for others and their property. But is the feel of a police state crackdown necessary? Wait, this is Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love. Of course it is necessary.

My friends, my countrymen, Americans, hear me out. I hope you all thought long and hard about whom to cast your vote for on Election Day. I’d sure you think everyone did, but I’m not so sure anymore. Most people think harder about whether or not they have to take out a payday advance. Case in point is this audio excerpt from the “Howard Stern Show,” reposted by BPM DJ’s in Pittsburgh, PA. Roving Reporter Sal went out to gather man-on-the-street interviews to see how many people supported Obama or McCain. The underlying motive was to see if they supported Obama it’s simply because he is black? The comedia magnae is that his polling point was Harlem, NYC. His trick is even more telling – he reverses the candidates’ positions, so that it would seem that Obama’s policies were actually Mc Cain’s, and McCain’s Obama’s. The people he spoke to preferred the actual platform of John McCain, and the policies that he attributed to McCain (which are actually Obama’s) were the ones nobody wanted anything to do with. I hope you all thought long and hard before voting. I sincerely hope, my fellow Americans that you did not just jump on the bandwagon.

The president-elect seemed in a lighthearted mood as he made the announcement. Now President-elect Barack Obama is building his own cabinet, and speculation over who will get the top positions has risen to a fever pitch in Washington. The Oval Office could probably make use of payday loans to keep the influence under control in the White House. Or could it? I’m talking about all the commotion surrounding President-Elect Barack Obama's picks for Cabinet. They have been chosen and the lucky players have all been announced. Critics are wondering exactly how Obama is going to manage such a strong-willed group. “I’m a believer in strong personalities and strong opinions,” says Obama, and that's what he's getting. Political veterans who are the best of the best and who are used to being number one will be leading the national security and economic policy teams. Obama will team Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Vice President Joe Biden, retired four-star Marine Gen. Jim Jones as national security adviser and four-star Gen. David Petraeus as chief of U.S. Central Command. This group will form as the country’s national security, which is just a part of an incredible team Obama has established. The economic team is yet another impressive part of his task force: National Economic Council head Larry Summers, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker as the lead of Obama’s economic recovery advisory board. Rahm Emanuel has been chosen to become the White House Chief of Staff and is described as “hard-charging” by many. All of these important officials Obama has chosen shows how incredible this new administration will be. Much like a payday loan that eases some strain in a tight budget, Obama is positioned to restore prosperity in our falling country. Click to read more on Payday Loans.
