Last week AYC hosted a photo workshop which will ideally be the beginning of an AYC photo club. The workshop was facilitated by Peter Eversoll, a photographer whom has worked with youth in the US and Mexico. Aside from offering the basics of photography, Peter also let particpants train their eyes in trips around town. The photos from these trips, seen below, are the first in an on-going, on-Blog exhibit entitled "Image/Speak/Word", aiming to offer youth perspective of AYC events, Awassa and Ethiopia. Thanks to Peter (and Lauren) for their time and effort.

The picture you write about and the story behind how that picutre came to be is simply amazing. Great blog, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I'm currently using Wordpress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it? Reply to this
